Monumental mechanical crib made by Jaemy Callari reproducing a 18th century Sicilian crib. It represents the steps from Jesus´ Nativity to their escape to Egypt, showing landscapes of Erice to the spectators. In fact it reproduces the typical streets and houses of this old town, its traditional jobs, its typical foods as well as the typically Sicilian "Opera dei pupi"(Sicilian Puppets Opera).
Everything is handmade by the artist using old techniques for clay and wax processing.
